Read it aloud, my dear reader!

Why I Love Gloomy Weather

You may think I am crazy,
The weather is dozy and lazy,
It's an overcast, gloomy day,
Yet it makes me cheery and gay!

I feel the world is cosy,
It’s a home just for me,
Smaller and more intimate,
Safe and warm like a blanket.

The rain-song the clouds hum,
Far thunder the heralding drum,
The cycle of juvenation they convey,
Soon green will greet the grey.

Is it just sensory, the departing of dust,
Lungs reviving with the fresh air’s gust,
The coolness that softens the gloom,
Or does something deep in me bloom?

Whatever the cause, such weather is dear,
My worries grow small and disappear,
I feel like working, it concentrates me,
I love Pune cloudy and England gloomy.

Now that is quite enough effort,
I'll curl up in my bed's comfort,
Pull my doona over my face,
And drift off to my happy place.

There’s lots more for you at
